Morocco, Guest of Honor at the Paris Book Festival
Morocco will be the guest of honor at the Paris Book Festival, which will take place at the Grand Palais from April 11 to 13, as announced by French Minister of Culture, Rachida Dati, during a press conference on Thursday.
“I am very happy and honored to see Morocco participate this year as the guest of honor country at the Paris Book Festival,” said Ms. Dati during the press conference, in the presence of the Ambassador of His Majesty the King to France, Samira Sitail.
This major cultural event will celebrate Morocco with a program that reflects the richness and diversity of its national literature.
Morocco will be represented through a pavilion inspired by the theme of the sea, symbolizing both the country’s rich maritime heritage and its commitment to a sustainable and innovative future.
In addition to the writers and artists inspired by Moroccan literature, professionals from the book world, including publishers, translators, and cultural actors, will also be present to share their insights on the developments and future prospects of books in Morocco.
