Paris-Tunis Flight Diverted to Nice Over a Disturbing Prayer Incident
The Transavia flight (a subsidiary of Air France) connecting Orly to Tunis was diverted to Nice. This occurred after an assault on a flight attendant by a Tunisian passenger. The latter, after completing his prayer in the aisle and the cramped space near the cockpit entrance, stood up and punched the flight attendant. This forced the pilot to make an emergency landing in Nice.
Once on the airport tarmac, four gendarmes boarded the plane and immediately evacuated the Tunisian passenger.
With the separation curtain open, it can be seen that this happened in the galley area of the plane.
The two flight attendants were helpless to stop the situation and had to remain calm!
There are two videos:
- The first, recorded during the flight, shows the Tunisian passenger hitting the flight attendant after his prayer.
- The second, recorded upon arrival, shows him asking, “What did I do?” and resisting his expulsion while shouting, “Allahu Akbar.” His call for help from his fellow Tunisian passengers went unanswered. None of the passengers supported this behavior, which severely harms the image of Islam and Muslims.
