We have already seen him driving his car alone, approached by passersby who did not hesitate to pose with him for posterity. He was also seen in the streets of Rabat expressing his joy among the supporters of the Atlas Lions after their qualification for the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Many have taken selfies with him in the Netherlands and in various parts of the world.
By mingling with the crowd, braving all dangers, and disregarding all protocol rules, the Moroccan monarch has always shown his closeness to his people, a people who have always shown him love and affection. And the king reciprocates this love. It is rare nowadays to see rulers act in the same way.
While he was seen leaning on a cane during the reception of French President Emmanuel Macron at the end of last October, Moroccans were overjoyed to see photos of their king strolling through the streets of Paris with his children, Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and Princess Lalla Khadija. In these photos, he appears relaxed, smiling, in good spirits, and exuding good health.
This sight reassured all those who had prayed for him when he appeared tired and thin just a month ago.
May Allah grant him a long life, bless him with good health, and bless Morocco.
