The Central Bank of Libya condemned the kidnapping of Musab Muslim, the Director of the Information Technology Department, by an unknown party in front of his home on Sunday morning, and the threats of kidnapping other officials.
The Central Bank stated: “We affirm our rejection of these chaotic methods practiced by certain parties outside the framework of the law, which threaten the safety of employees and the continuation of the banking sector’s work.”
It added: “We confirm the suspension of all work by the bank, its departments, and its systems. The bank’s operations will not resume until Mr. Musab Muslim is released and returns to work, and such practices are halted.”
