Increased Judicial Control on Karim Tabbou

Yesterday, Karim Tabbou was taken to the Koléa court following a judicial order issued by the investigating judge after he went to the internal security barracks to sign in accordance with the judicial oversight measures imposed on him.

The investigating judge asked political activist Karim Tabbou to sign a pledge not to participate in any political activity or television program, but he refused to sign any document that would infringe on his freedoms and rights.

The investigating judge ordered the tightening of judicial oversight measures, including:

Prohibition from publishing or writing by any means, including social media.
Prohibition from leaving the jurisdiction of the Koléa court.
Prohibition from participating in any television program or press conference.
Prohibition from any political activity.
The defense team considered the measure taken against political activist Karim Tabbou to be a blatant violation and a serious infringement on the rights and freedoms of citizens, including the right to defense, which was not respected.
