Haftar’s Forces Advance Toward the Libyan-Algerian Border

The Libyan Armed Forces continue their deployment in the far south of Libya along the border strip with Algeria and Niger at the Salvador Triangle.

The official Facebook page of the Libyan Armed Forces (Khalifa Haftar’s forces) posted images of these units reaching the far southwest of Libya, near the borders with Algeria and Niger.

Previously, the Algerian Foreign Ministry expressed concern about these recent military movements. There were reports that Algerian army units had crossed the northern Libyan-Algerian border to establish a buffer zone.

These military movements come amid a political deadlock in Libya.
