Algeria withdraws from African Club Championship due to Morocco map
The Algerian Handball Federation has decided to ban its teams from participating in the African Club Handball Championship, which will be held in the Moroccan city of Laayoune from October 10 to 19, 2024.
This decision follows the Algerian federation’s stance of withdrawing from all competitions held in Morocco, due to its objections related to the southern region of the Kingdom.
The tournament is expected to feature 16 teams, including three Moroccan clubs: Widad Smara, Raja Agadir, and the Al Muntada team.
Here is the group distribution for the African Club Handball Championship (men and women).
